History of Event
The Arabuni Futsal competition began its debut 2002, with no expectations or previous experiences of such an event; simply a one day event jam-packed with practically knockout Futsal from the first whistle. The 1st tournament was a huge success, with many team from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities entering and enjoying the experience.
Over the following 4 years, the tournament began to grow in reputation and became an attraction to elite talent of futsallers. In 2006 members of the NZ Futsal team told the organisers, quote "the crowd atmosphere got to us, the drums were relenting, it was great, something that we didn't even experience at the world cup qualifiers in Australia"!
With more sponsors backing the tournament and a team of faithful volunteers driving the front lines, the 2009 event promises to be a cracker!
