Today more than one club at the Auckland University received an email from person pretending to be the AUSA president. This email targeted middle eastern as well as Muslims clubs, such as...

• Auckland university Islamic society (AUIS)
• Ahlu Al Bait
• Iraqi youth union


The email said…

This person if he indeed is the president should be demoted cuz his spelling is atrocious. Its REACT not Re-Act and the powers that be not the power's that be. oh and wankers not wanker's. He is basically an illiterate fool who needs to beaten into learning his supposed own language

Hope has already invited him to join the forum so it wil be interesting to hear from him also this email has been forwarded to AUSA president. It would be great to see the reaction of AUSA towards that matter, specially this email was addressed to Midleasterns / Islamic club.

this dude obviously has issues. Coz he isnt just against muslims. in his email he mentions "forgein students" and obviously people going to otago?! i don't know but what i got from this email is that this guy has issues. i doubt anyone would even take him seriously!

I would certainly expect someone in tertiary education to have a better standard of english than that.

I agree with LDG that he has some issues, and I wouldn't expect to get any more sense from him.

is there any danger of Craccum publishing the cartoon??

If they do I would expect them to get shut down. The cartoon issue isnt one of freedom of speech considering that such a thing is in reality but a myth; it is in fact one of racism and discrimination.

I think it’s more important to establish peace rather than offensive laughter. The only thing that worries me about this email is the fact that he/she had access to those members’ personal emails. This is usually only given to AUSA.

No im sure AUSA is not in on it. Any hacker can access emails. Thats not a problem.

Plus its obvious this guy is not trying to show that he IS the president of AUIS so noone is gonna take this email seriously. So really any attention given to this is a waste of time.

and JJ - to be honest, I am afraid that Craccum might think of posting it. Hello thats what Craccum does! Just puts stuff thinking its "freedom of speech". Remember the whole thing with the woman or the guy who dressed up in the Burka and went drinking and showing off their legs and wat not? They claimed it was freedom of speech as well!

Most of the emails that he/she sent to are published in ths year's AUSA university diary, the person probably got the emails from thr, and they not only sent it to AUIS it was also sent to the sir lankan youth group, sikh punjabi'z, and 7wwa club.

Hi Hope,

I have looked at the email link and am sad that this was sent however I
don't take responsibility for it as this is clearly not me. This is a
person claiming to be the president, of what? The email fails to
identify the "AUSA" President which is what I am. I am aware of the
person who sent it and would advise you to just ignore it as this person
has clearly lost it.

I can understand how your club may take offence to this email but I
would suggest you take this off the internet as it is damaging my
reputation. I clearly did not write this email.

Legally if you choose to leave it there I may take defamation action
against your club. Please phone me if you have any concerns.

Once again - I'm sorry that someone thinks this is funny by writing such
a crude email and hope there is no long term scars from this act.

Well he cant really take defamation action cuz the email does not name him nor the AUSA and he himself mentions this. It also has the real president in "" so it indicates that it isnt the president of watever either. Also the email doesnt attack him, it attacks others. He was very diplomatic in his email but his mistake was threatening legal action where he should really offer assistance in tracking the person. He claims it is damaging his reputation in one paragraph but then says it doesnt even mention what the sender is the president of. So how can it ruin his reputation? I doubt he could take such legal action and in the end it would only make the whole row public and national so I doubt he wants that especially in his less than helpful response. This person seems to care more about their own reputation than the safety of others, a true politician, selfish all the way.

If you bothered to read the posts you will find that the emails were also sent to personal email addresses and that it says MOST of the emails it was sent to are published, but what about the rest? Also this isnt SPAM. The AUSA president should be trying to help rather than threatening to take legal action against recipients of emails! Noone has accused him of anything, he is bringing these to himself.

about the emails...he sent emails to the ones that published in the diary..because the email that i have with the AUSA office is diffrent from the one in the diary....and i got his email in the one that published in the diary....!!

There is no "real" Ka-50 pit, all current Ka-50s are prototypes and some have undergone modifications. What can be said is that ED modelled the pit of the version they had access to. TR probably had fotos of a different model pit, so his pit does look different. It all boils down to what works best for you.
